Mrs.
Marcia Jennings-Cole

Director, Finance & eProcurement

Marcia Jennings-Cole is the Director of Finance and eProcurement. With over 20 years of experience in the accounting profession, she joined the eGov Jamaica Limited family in April 2012.

 

In her current position Mrs. Jennings-Cole under the directive of the Chief Executive Officer assists in the development of the Financial and Procurement Policies of the company by ensuring the effective implementation of cost effective performance of all activities within the company.  She is also responsible for the coordinated and coherent approach to aquisition and deployment of eGovJa and GOJ ICT Assets.   

 

Prior to joining eGov Jamaica Limited Mrs. Jennings-Cole held executive management positions in various industries.  At the Jamaica Observer and Track Price Plus Limited she held the positions of Financial Controller with responsibilities of managing the accounting systems and control along with treasury management.  

 

She served as Chief Accountant at the Seprod Group of Companies with financial responsibilities for the Feeds, Detergents and Grains Division.  Her tenure at the University of Technology where she was the Chief Accountant, a Senior Director, she was instrumental as the team leader who guided the transformation process of accounting records from International Accounting Standards to Internal Financial Reporting Standards.  Likewise she was the team leader for the Students’ Receivable module in the Integrated Student’s Administrative System.   

 

A Chartered Accountant, Mrs. Jennings-Cole received the Diploma in accounting from the University of Technology, a Bachelor of Accounting Degree and a Master’s of Science Degree in Accounting from the University of the West Indies.  She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Jamaica, as well as the North America College and University Business Office (NACUBO).  She is also an active member of the Rotary club of Kingston East and Port Royal.  She served the club in various capacities including that of Treasurer and Vocational Services Director.
